Common Grammar Mistakes in English (Part 6)
Improving your English requires careful attention to common grammar mistakes. In this video, we highlight three errors that many English learners often make.
First, be mindful of verb choices. Instead of saying "I lost the bus", the correct expression is "I missed my bus". "Missed" is the proper verb to use when you fail to catch something like a bus or train.
Second, ensure subject-verb agreement for singular subjects. Rather than "Everyone are happy", the correct form is "Everyone is happy". The word "everyone" is singular and takes a singular verb.
Lastly, simplify phrases for clarity. Instead of "I need to go to home", the right phrase is "I need to go home". The word "home" does not require the preposition "to".
By correcting these mistakes, you can improve your grammar and communicate more effectively in English. Watch the video for more helpful tips and practice!
