Weather vocabulary goes beyond basic terms like "sunny" or "rainy". In this video, we introduce more specific and unique weather phenomena.
- Snow: Frozen precipitation that falls as ice crystals, forming a soft white layer on the ground. Common in winter in colder regions.
- Hail: Small, hard balls of ice that fall from the sky during severe thunderstorms. Hail can vary in size from tiny pellets to large, damaging stones.
- Fog: A thick cloud of tiny water droplets suspended in the air at or near the earth's surface, reducing visibility. Often found in coastal and mountainous areas.
- Lightning: A sudden electrostatic discharge during a storm, resulting in a bright flash of light in the sky, often accompanied by thunder.
- Rainbow: A multicolored arc that appears in the sky when sunlight is refracted and dispersed by moisture in the atmosphere, typically following a rain shower.
