Adverbs of frequency include words like always, never, usually, and sometimes. Here are the three simple rules discussed in the video.
- Before the main verb. By default, place the adverb before the main verb.
Example: I always remember to do my homework.
- After the verb to be. When using the verb to be, place the adverb after the verb.
Example: They are never pleased to see me.
- Between auxiliary and main verb. When using auxiliary verbs, place the adverb between the auxiliary and the main verb.
Example: She can sometimes beat me in a race.
