Much vs. Many: Simple Grammar Trick

Learn when to use much and many in English. This video explains the difference with a simple trick and easy examples.

Many English learners get confused about when to use much and many. But don’t worry! Here’s an easy way to remember.

Use much with uncountable nouns. For example:
• How much money do you have?
• There isn’t much water in the bottle.

Use many with countable nouns. For example:
• How many apples do you want?
• She has many books on her shelf.

If you can count it (one, two, three), use many. If you can’t count it (water, money, advice), use much.

Now it’s your turn! Try the next question: How ___ books are on the table? Comment your answer and keep practicing!
