I.E. vs E.G.: What's the Difference?
E.G. (Exempli Gratia) means "for example". It's used to provide examples. Example sentence: "I know a lot of coding languages, e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript.".
I.E. (Id Est) means "in other words". It's used to clarify or restate something in a different way. Example sentence: "The country experienced population growth due to natural increase (i.e., had more births than deaths)".
