You'll play the role of the person giving directions (in red), and I'll be the person asking for directions (in blue).
Ready to start? Let's go!
Here's a sample of the conversation:
- You: Could you go to the supermarket and buy some food? There's nothing to eat in the house!
- Me: Sure, but I don't know the way. We've just moved in.
- You: I'll give you directions. Not to worry.
- Me: Thanks.
- You: At the end of the street, take a right. Then drive two miles to White Ave. After that, it's another mile to...
- Me: Let me write this down. I won't remember it!
- You: OK. First, take a right at the end of the street.
- Me: Got it. After that?
- You: Take a left onto 14th Street.
- Me: Left onto 14th Street.
- You: The supermarket is on the left, next to the bank.
- Me: OK. Great.
By practicing this conversation, you'll become more comfortable with giving directions. This exercise helps improve your ability to navigate and communicate effectively in real-life situations.
